How do we create a circular bioeconomy as a society with optimal correlations between production, distribution, consumption and recycling of biomass and other bioresources?
This is the focal point of CBIO's work in this research area. We conduct research into systemic approaches, and with the help of modelling, we attempt to understand links within regulatory, social and economic factors that influence the transition to bioeconomy production, either as barriers or catalysts.
In addition, our research focuses on analysing how alternative scenarios for resource management and regulatory measures affect respectively: economy, environment and climate.
