COLLABORATE WITH US

CBIO collaborates actively at both national and international levels, providing a range of partnership opportunities. Our projects with external partners cover all facets of the bio-based economy. Explore the different ways you can collaborate with us below.

How CBIO collaborates

CBIO collaborates closely together with national and international organizations and industry. There are various opportunities to partner with CBIO, and our projects with external partners cover all aspects of the bio-based economy, enabled by our eight research areas and advanced facilities. Our goal is to establish some of the world's best conditions for industrial and commercial utilization of the knowledge we generate, achieved through close partnerships with businesses, organisations, universities, and authorities.

Below, you can see the different ways to collaborate with us:

  • Collaborative projects with industry partners
Our research departments have a long tradition for collaboration with industry. The most common form of collaboration is partnering in projects with external funding from national – or EU funding sources with some co-financing from the industrial partner. Other possible collaborations are recruitment of students for special tasks, or simply financed research, if the industry wants full ownership of the results.
  • Projects and funding for students
CBIO also partners with Master-and PhD students and Postdocs on interdisciplinary research and funding opportunities. By supporting students in their interdisciplinary work within the bioeconomy, we foster conditions where their projects can thrive and make a meaningful impact.
