Global Worming

Concortium: QGG (Aarhus University) with PIEE Lab, InsectAI and Høye Lab

Novel deep learning and remote sensing to reveal the uncharted biology of earthworms: cryptic, but pivotal, actors of agroecological circularity. This project develops sensors and artificial intelligence tools to uncover the behaviour and ecology of earthworms. Understanding these cryptic creatures in depth will allow us to better restore our soils.

SEAWEED4IMRAS will reduce the emissions of nutrients and greenhouse gasses of land-based fish production, through an optimised production of seaweed.

Joint Nordic Seaweed Innovation Network (JNSIN) will promote a joint Nordic Innovation in production and utilization of seaweed for climate and environmental friendly food, feed and materials. JNSIN will facilitate knowledge exchange between science and industry and initiate future joint R&D projects.
