CBIO – Centre for Circular Bioeconomy – in collaboration with FBCD - Food & Bio Cluster Denmark - invites everyone with an interest in industrial organic waste streams to participate in this workshop that will explore how organic waste can be optimally utilized from a circular bioeconomic perspective.
The aim of the day is to gain a deeper understanding of the types of organic waste streams in Denmark, both in terms of quantity and quality, as well as how they are utilized today. We will examine the sustainability of current utilization methods and identify the barriers that may hinder the optimal use of these waste streams. These barriers may be regulatory, economic, environmental, or safety-related, and in this context, we will also investigate how the current regulatory framework supports or limits the safe utilization of organic waste in terms of human and environmental health.
