There are currently three available PhD positions, which will be part of the EcoIndustrial System Analysis (EISA) team at the Aarhus University Department of Environmental Science.
The three positions all have affiliation to CBIO - Aarhus University Centre for Circular Bioeconomy, more specifically the research platform Sustainability, Society and Economy.
Position 1: FOODRUS PhD - Evaluating food loss and waste prevention opportunities as part of regenerative circular food systems
The PhD project is expected to contribute to creating climate-resilient Danish food systems by providing science-based decision support for relevant stakeholders on system optimization, business strategic planning, and policy making.

Position 2: GREENPOLE - Sustainability assessment of forest derived bioeconomic value chains
The PhD project is expected to contribute to the formalisation of integrated modelling to provide a systemic, qualitative, and quantitative understanding of relevant trade-offs for a sustainable forestry industry in the Nordic region.

Position 3: SeaSUSPRO-CLIMATEFEED - Evaluating the role of seaweeds in transformative trajectories of Danish food production systems towards sustainability.
The PhD project is expected to contribute to creating climate-resilient Danish food systems by providing science-based decision support for relevant stakeholders on system optimization, business strategic planning, and policy-making.
