Konstantinos Anastasakis received his MEng degree in Environmental Engineering from the Technical University of Crete in 2006, his MSc in Energy and Environment from Leeds University in 2007 and his PhD in process engineering (bio-energy) from Leeds University in 2011. He then joined Process and Energy department at TU Delft where he was working on the fields of biomass conversion to fuels/chemicals and large-scale energy storage. Currently he is working as postdoc researcher at the Biological and Chemical Engineering section at Aarhus University (AU) on the development of renewable liquid fuels based on hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL). His current research mainly focuses on the optimization of the AU pilot scale HTL reactor as well as on the efficient valorization of residual products. Konstantinos’s research interests are mainly directed towards bio-refineries, green/circular economy and sustainable process engineering.
