Participate in an open webinar about circular bioeconomy

On 1 July 2020, Aarhus University Centre for Circular Bioeconomy (CBIO) will be hosting a webinar with presentations of the newest research. The webinar are open for all.

Can we make textile out of grass? How is it possible to extract protein from seaweed? And can grass protein replace soybeans in the feed for pigs and poultry?

You can learn about this and much more at the upcoming webinar presented by the Aarhus University Centre for Circular Bioeconomy (CBIO). PhD students and Postdocs from several departments at Aarhus University will give short pitch presentations of their current research projects.

The webinar will take place on 1 July 9-12, and anyone interested is welcome to attend.

Green biomass and much more

Centre director Uffe Jørgensen will open the Webinar with a presentation of CBIO.

This will be followed by 15 presentations of current research projects, which will be divided into four categories:

  • Biorefining green biomass for feed and food
  • Value-added products from side streams
  • Cropping systems and management
  • Seaweed in the circular bioeconomy

Claus Felby from Novo Nordisk Foundation will conclude the webinar with his presentation: ”Beyond 70% GHG reduction - what should be the research & development priorities?”

After each presentation, it will be possible to ask questions
